Company Description Soo Hoo Customs Broker is an experienced, licensed customs broker and international freight forwarder having been established since 1974. We provide custom solutions and professional services from beginning to end of a client's shipment arriving into the US, including trucking and warehousing. Our company specializes in food, auto, personal effects, general commodities, FDA & USDA procedures and regulations, and DOT and EPA declarations. As experts in tariff and customs law, we assist our clients in clearing both imported or exported goods globally. Role Description We are looking for a full-time Data Entry Clerk for our Commerce, CA office. The primary duty will be to review and process shipment or air transactions for one or more major accounts, and all other related activities including billing and obtaining government agency releases as appropriate. This employee will be directly responsible for promoting a positive relationship with the client in providing timely and proactive customer service. Responsibilities given may include the following: - Serve as the primary representative for your customer account portfolio, ensuring prompt responses are given to customer inquiries - receive, review, and process high-volume and/or complex import and export transactions for clients, including booking, billing, classifying, and processing all data through the company's internal system - Track and update shipment statuses, and review and monitor all declared shipment rejections to alert key stakeholders - Operate in a team environment to ensure all information requests and areas of concern in the shipping process are addressed appropria to either the client, a government agency, or any other correspondence Qualifications - Proficiency in both English and Mandarin - High school diploma or equivalent qualification - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work with minimum supervision - Strong aptitude in problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment **No prior experience in this industry is required.Information Network, thank you Please mention that you saw this ad on the Los Angeles Chinese Information Network when you, thank you
