2 Cheap Cars is one of New Zealand's largest used vehicle importers and retailers, and we are looking for a Finance Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a junior position, making it a good opportunity for recent graduates or candidates looking to start a career in finance and operations. Previous experience is not essential, but a positive can-do attitude, strong willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are key to success in this role. Main Tasks: • Generate Purchase Orders for workshop operations and company operations. • Assist Workshop Daily Operations, including gate control, coordinating vehicle and delivery movements, receiving incoming parts and deliveries, checking quantities against delivery documentation, and maintaining accurate records of parts received each day. • Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and process invoices for goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. • Refund and Reimbursement Processing: Process customer deposit refunds and employee expenditure reimbursements. • Data Entry: Accura enter invoice details into the accounting system and maintain organised records. • Payment Management: Prepare and perform payment runs based on supplier payment terms and reconcile company credit card transactions. • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and suppliers to address enquiries and resolve discrepancies. • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve invoice discrepancies. • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy. • Month-End Close: Assist in month-end closing activities and reconciliations. • Reporting: Generate and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports as required by management. • Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits. • Comply with company payment approval policies and obtain approvals where required. • Asset Register: Record all low-value assets and fixed assets as per company policy. • Vehicle Advertisement Management: Prepare and complete vehicle advertisement descriptions for all vehicles received by the branch each day. • Vehicle Registration Administration: Arrange, process and post vehicle registration documents, ensuring all registration records are accurate, complete and submitted within required timeframes. • Vehicle Information Reporting: Compile and summarise vehicle specifications, features, condition reports and relevant information for management to support vehicle pricing and purchasing decisions. • Other ad hoc tasks requested by the management team. Candidate Requests: Great Can-Do Attitude and Fast Learner: This is a junior position within the 2 Cheap Cars Finance Team. Previous experience is not required, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, the ability to learn quickly, and the capability to work effectively under deadlines. Strong Team Player: You will work closely with the Financial Controller, Management Accountant, and team members across the business. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential. Comfortable in an Operational Environment: You should be comfortable working in a workshop environment and have an interest in motor vehicles.
